A Truly Wonderful Documentary

[A] truly wonderful documentary.... After watching it, my heart was moved so much within the next two weeks I started interviewing WWII vets (one of whom gave me his entire war journal) and will interview more for a article in our local paper.— Austin C.

Simply Incredible

The League of Grateful Sons... is the most incredible thing I have ever seen. Thank you so much for researching and making this wonderful documentary possible. I’m a son of a WWII veteran. My father was stationed in New Jersey watching for German planes. Near the end of the war, he then went to Germany. I’m the choir director at my church, and we’re planning a patriotic musical in the local high school auditorium on July 2. The purpose is to thank military people — past and present — and their families. I’m working on how I might be able to use a small clip from “Sons” in the musical... Thanks again for the work you’ve done and will be doing. God bless you for it!— Jim M., First Baptist Church, Michigan

An Iwo Father Speaks

I showed the video to my family... and my Father who fought at Iwo Jima was much moved. For the first time, he opened up and started answering our questions about [the battle].—Mark C.

A Completely Unique War Film

The League of Grateful Sons is a completely unique war film. Throughout the whole film, you see Christ’s providential hand in the history of our nation and the lives of the soldiers of Iwo Jima. This film is not ashamed of the sovereign God of history. I think the name of Jesus Christ was exalted by this film. —Jay Valenti

Memorial to the WWII Generation

The raising of the flag on Iwo Jima is the most published photo of WWII. This film should be the most watched memorial to that generation. —Father of Seven from Virginia

Stay the Course

I have just finished watching with my family The League of Grateful Sons, which arrived earlier today in the mail. As a videographer who specializes in personal and family histories, I was impressed and profoundly moved ... to tears to hear the testimonies of these valiant, brave, and God-honoring men. This film will be an inspiration to many, not only to listen, record, and remember the legacies of their parents, but also to inspire each one of us to “stay the course.” —Robert P.

Children Who Honor

With most modern films, you get a lot of fantasy and technology. With League of Grateful Sons you get history, theology, and a jumpstart for renewed passion for honoring your father. The value of the message in this film is that it will stimulate more love and reconciliation and relationship between fathers and their children. Seeing this film brings the viewer face-to-face with success and failure, love and hate. The Bible teaches that success and happiness will follow those sons and daughters who honor their fathers. —Scott Brown

Moved to Tears

I loved The League of Grateful Sons.... I was moved to tears at the sacrifice of so many brave men for this country, and at the same time, [I was] inspired to learn the stories of my grandfathers and preserve their legacy for my children. Thank you for producing this piece. May it encourage many Americans. —Anonymous Donor

Our Hearts Are Full

We just received and viewed The League of Grateful Sons DVD over Christmas. We could not have imagined ahead of time the impact it would have on us. To just say we loved the documentary would not express accurately the fullness of our hearts. Instead, let’s say this: because of it, we love the Lord all the more, who through that generation preserved the freedoms we enjoy today. We can’t express our gratitude enough for all of your efforts in honoring those who have gone before us. Thank you for not letting us forget.—The Chris C. Family
