An Anniversary to Remember

What a joy it was to sit and watch The League of Grateful Sons with my parents in celebration of their 59th wedding anniversary. At the end of the movie my father was reduced to tears from memories of the war....Thank you for such a wonderful message. —Mr. R.

Strength, Courage, and Goodness

In a world full of flattery but devoid of honor, where people venerate the celebrity instead of true heroes, Doug Phillips has produced a film that honors true manhood in all its strength, courage, and goodness. Turning the hearts of children to their fathers, Vision Forum’s moving and timely documentary re-establishes and elevates the virtue of giving honor to our fathers for their sacrificial service. —Justice Tom Parker, Alabama Supreme Court

A Completely Unique War Film

The League of Grateful Sons is a completely unique war film. Throughout the whole film, you see Christ’s providential hand in the history of our nation and the lives of the soldiers of Iwo Jima. This film is not ashamed of the sovereign God of history. I think the name of Jesus Christ was exalted by this film. —Jay Valenti

Memorial to the WWII Generation

The raising of the flag on Iwo Jima is the most published photo of WWII. This film should be the most watched memorial to that generation. —Father of Seven from Virginia

Stay the Course

I have just finished watching with my family The League of Grateful Sons, which arrived earlier today in the mail. As a videographer who specializes in personal and family histories, I was impressed and profoundly moved ... to tears to hear the testimonies of these valiant, brave, and God-honoring men. This film will be an inspiration to many, not only to listen, record, and remember the legacies of their parents, but also to inspire each one of us to “stay the course.” —Robert P.

Children Who Honor

With most modern films, you get a lot of fantasy and technology. With League of Grateful Sons you get history, theology, and a jumpstart for renewed passion for honoring your father. The value of the message in this film is that it will stimulate more love and reconciliation and relationship between fathers and their children. Seeing this film brings the viewer face-to-face with success and failure, love and hate. The Bible teaches that success and happiness will follow those sons and daughters who honor their fathers. —Scott Brown

Moved to Tears

I loved The League of Grateful Sons.... I was moved to tears at the sacrifice of so many brave men for this country, and at the same time, [I was] inspired to learn the stories of my grandfathers and preserve their legacy for my children. Thank you for producing this piece. May it encourage many Americans. —Anonymous Donor

Gives Us Hope and Vision for the Future

Inspirational. The League of Grateful Sons is more than a documentary. It connects us with generations that went before us. It is more than history. It puts us into history as the grateful sons of fathers who made history. This film redefines the documentary film through the framework of a biblical worldview. Here’s a film that restores the concepts of honor, relationships, and faith. History, as seen through the eyes of this documentary, gives us our bearings in terms of where we are today and hope and vision for the future. —Kevin Swanson, Host of Generations

Our Hearts Are Full

We just received and viewed The League of Grateful Sons DVD over Christmas. We could not have imagined ahead of time the impact it would have on us. To just say we loved the documentary would not express accurately the fullness of our hearts. Instead, let’s say this: because of it, we love the Lord all the more, who through that generation preserved the freedoms we enjoy today. We can’t express our gratitude enough for all of your efforts in honoring those who have gone before us. Thank you for not letting us forget.—The Chris C. Family
